Home cook style dishes, friendly and down to earth services. Good prices. Need air circulation or AC on at lower temperature since it was hot inside the restaurant while we visited.

Home cooked Vietnamese food that's very affordable with most dishes in the $4-8 range. Got the soup/Canh which had a little bit of pork meatballs for just 5 bucks that reminds me of my moms cooking. Got the clay pot catfish which was enough for one person for $6. Happy to support a mom and pop joint place that serves good traditional food for a cheap price. Glad I tried this place and kind of tired of newer Vietnamese restaurants having huge portions or some gimmicky add ons to have you spend over 20 bucks for lunch

After delivering my baby, I couldn't find the time nor the energy to cook like I used to. I was craving Vietnamese hot home meals that didn't break the bank. This place was a savior! It is a hole in a wall, but it is well maintained and clean. I usually buy a week worth of dishes and they would last for the entire time. I like their whole fish fried, stuffed tofu, cà ri gà (chicken curry), ragu gà (chicken ragu), stir-fried veggies. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of it. It's also okay if you don't know what the dishes are called. This type of place is also known to serve "cơm chỉ" in Vietnamese, which means you use your finger to point at the dishes you want. How much of it depends on the container size that you choose (small, large, etc.). You can definitely dine in as there are tables. The lady behind the counter is also very sweet. The best part is that they accept credit cards!

Great low price food for lunch or dinner cafeteria style. The fried fish is one of the best.

The best Traditional Vietnamese food in Houston If you ever crave grandma's cooking, this is where to go. We live in Austin but anytime we have a chance to go to Houston this is our must stop. If I could give Di Tu more than 5 star I would.

- Add: 8200 Wilcrest Dr #11, Houston, TX 77072 - Alo: (281) 575-7424 - Local guides: https://goo.gl/maps/aetkXbdP2jtxeiXC7

When I crave a traditional home cooked meal that reminds me of childhood, this is where I typically stop. The ladies here are super friendly. Many different dishes to select from (from $2-$6 portions, a few $8). From soups to meat dishes, fried fish, and veggies - also Vietnamese curry and ragu; everything is so good. Although, I recently had the canh chua (vietnamese sour soup), it wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst.... You can also get a togo box of just rice. If you're paying with credit card, tax will be added; so its best if you bring cash. Just a heads up, the place doesn't look pleasing to the eye, but you're not going there for the aesthetics or ambiance. Stop by if you're looking for a quick Vietnamese home cooked meal. Oh, I also have to mention that I love and appreciate that the ladies notices who is next in line. I've noticed in Chinatown, sometimes there are no respect for lines and people tend to skip just because they're more aggressive. So for me, that deserves a five star.

Been coming for years. Excellent food healthy choices for an incredible price. Very humble place but nice people with great food choices. If you love to explore and look for healthy choices and not looking for a fancy place. This is the right place. But if you are Brat and high maintenance and can't afford much but Still very demanding, this it's not your place.
